Shoulder Injury Compensation Claims

Injuries to the shoulder can happen as a result of a fall, something falling on to it, a sudden impact or as a result of other injuries that go on to cause pain in the shoulder. If someone else caused the injury then you might have a claim.

These injuries can cause problems if you are unable to work because of the pain and discomfort and can be particularly troublesome if your job involves working above head height.

The shoulder joint is complicated and consists of a number of parts. When you see your GP or the Consultant at the hospital you might hear a number of medical terms for the parts of the shoulder, for example;

  • Clavicle (collar bone)
  • Scapula (shoulder blade)
  • Humerus (upper arm bone)

An injury to the shoulder can comprise of a number of problems such as a broken collar bone, a dislocated shoulder, a frozen shoulder, a rotator cuff injury, and many more conditions.

Your GP or Consultant should be able to tell you what type of injury you have sustained and how serious this is.

This will then determine what treatment you need to help you recover.

If treatment cannot be offered to you quickly, then we might be able to arrange for this to be provided for you privately.

As your recovery progresses it might become clear that you require further treatment such as physiotherapy, cortisone injections, or even surgery, then again we may be able to arrange that for you privately.
