Case Study – Mrs G. Injured by faulty product
Mrs G bought a jar of cooking sauce at her local supermarket.
Later that day she was preparing the evening meal and began to open the jar.
As she did so the jar “imploded” and she sustained a laceration to her thumb which required surgery and several weeks off work.
We were successful in arguing that the jar was faulty and that this had caused the injury. We successfully pursued a claim against the manufacturers of the cooking sauce and obtained compensation for Mrs G for £15,000.
